Baseball - 2001
Steve Mohan graduated from Corning East in 1996 after a four-year varsity baseball career for the Trojans. He played on four straight STC Championship teams and was named All-STC, All-Leader and All-Star Gazette as a sophomore, junior and senior and was named the MVP of the STC as a senior. Steve was also a key member of the NYS Class B Championship team. He was named to the first-ever NYS All-State team in 1996 as a shortstop. Named a Mizuno High School All-American as a senior. During his high school career Steve hit over .400 at the plate. Went on to play Division I college ball at North Carolina at Greensboro. While there he set a team record with three homers and nine runs in one game. During the NCAA Southeast Regional versus LSU, Long Beach St. and Houston he hit .500 for the tournament. Was named Big South All-Conference as a freshman third baseman and was named to the Mizuno Freshman All-American team. Steve currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
