Basketball - 2012

Megan Methven graduated from Corning East High School in 2006 having played for the girl’s varsity basketball program for five years. She is the all-time leading scorer in the history of Trojans basketball (boys and girls) with 1.695 career points. She is also the all-time three-point shooter and the career assist leader for girls. Megan was named all-league her final three years and was the Leader Player of the Year during her senior season when she was also named the All-Twin Tiers Player of the Year. As a junior she was 7th team All-State and was named to the third team as a senior. Following graduation, Megan took her talents to Stonehill College where she helped them get into four NCAA Tournaments. She holds the school record for most three-pointers in a career with 249 and in a game with eight. She is fourth in all-time foul shooting percentage and finished her career with 1,112 points. As a freshman Megan was named to the Northeast All-Rookie team. She currently teaches high school math in Massachusetts where she coaches a state championship AAU basketball team and also coaches high school lacrosse.
