Basketball - 2006

BRAD BREITWISE graduated from Corning West in 1998 after a four-year tour as the point guard on the Vikings  varsity  basketball team. He is the  only  player in the  history  of Corning West to  earn All-STC, First Team honors as a sophomore, junior and senior. Brad, who served as cocaptain as both a junior and senior, led the Vikings to their first ever Sectional title in 1998, their first Regional title in '98 and their first and only (to date) appearance in the NYS Final Four Tournament. Following his senior season, Brad was named to the NYS Class B Sixth Team. He finished his Vikings  career with  a school record  84  games started  and  played. Brad holds the school record for career assists with 367 and most steals in a season with 52. He is second alltime with 141 career 3points shots, second most 3's in a season with 59 and second most 3's in a game with six, which he did three times. Despite all his numbers, Brad was best when the pressure was on. During his senior season, he was an 88% shooter at the foul line, and made 36 of 38 foul shots (95%) in the fourth quarter of games. He joins grandfather Stu, father Carl (Pudge) and sister Kristen in the Hall of Fame.
